The hardest part about having a tool fascination is not having enough room for it all! My shop is getting way to cramped!
Well, how much I understand you! Space is a commodity for guys with passions.
Just look at my garage after yet another move - it's an "Apocalypse now" part three )))
TWO MiniTech CNC milling machines.
Life is good!
That mill enclosure looks like it would do a good job containing the chips.
Actually there are 3. Under the small mill in the corner wrapped up in the black trash bag is my 25+ year old mill 2 I have been running the old mill 2 for about 10 years. I even used the little guy to machine some 1911 grips for my AR15
How did it go without coolant? Or did you use something?
I used a couple cans of WD40. It went alright, the first grip I did I had to figure out good speeds and feeds. With a High RPM spindle and low feedrates comparatively I did have a lot of rubbing and heat generation.
I thought you might )
How about those balancing holes - did you do it yourself or spindle people did it?
The spindle manufacturer did it.
Sounds like a good product then.
